The scent of Spring is in the air.....

Rhododendron occidentale - Western Azalea's one of my favorite times of the year.  The Western Azaleas in my yard are blooming and their delicate sweet scent is wafting through the air.  Proof for sure that Spring is here to stay and Summer will be just around the corner.   These lovelies grow in the shade at the forest edge and practically glow with their gentle splashes of yellow and pink.  It makes me want to drop the house work and take off on a leisurely hike through the woods.

  1. Hi, Marilyn! It doesn't look like you're blogging anymore but I wanted to say hi anyway!

I grew up in Enumclaw. :)

PS If you don't remember who I am, I'm over from the Farmgirl connection. ♥

  2. Hi Holly:

Thanks for the message. You are right…..I have been extremely busy and haven’t had time to post on my blog for quite awhile. I love Enumclaw! We drive through there on our way to Crystal Mountain. My favorite restaurants are the Lee Inn and Krain’s Korner. There is nothing like the smell of dairy farms that can make you feel like you are truly in the country!
